I bow to Lord Basavanna, a great saint, poet and social reformer on his Jayanti. He fiercely stood against social evils and played a significant role in ensuring social equality. His teachings transcend all boundaries and have successfully delivered the message of ‘humanity is above all’.
ಮಹಾನ್ ಸಂತ, ಕವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜ ಸುಧಾರಕ ಜಗಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಬಸವಣ್ಣ ಅವರ ಜಯಂತಿಯಂದು ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶಿರಬಾಗಿ ನಮಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅನಿಷ್ಟಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡಿದ್ದ ಬಸವಣ್ಣನವರ ಬೋಧನೆಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಡಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿ ‘ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಮಿಗಿಲು' ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪಸರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
